Equity Reference Security Master & Lookups

Authoritative U.S. equity security master with SecId, FIGI, ISIN, and ASID mappings. Ticker resolution and cross-vendor identifier linking since 2007.

Security master and identifier lookup datasets for the full universe of listed and delisted U.S. equities since 2007.

The security master is built, maintained, and quality-controlled entirely in-house from multiple sources. It maps every security to stable internal identifiers (SecId), persistent cross-lifecycle identifiers (ASID), and industry-standard codes including FIGI and ISIN, with daily updates reflecting ticker changes, name changes, sector reclassifications, and delistings. Lookup files enable date-aware ticker-to-SecId and FIGI-to-SecId resolution for cross-vendor identifier normalization, stock ticker mapping, and symbol change history tracking.

These datasets form the foundational layer for joining pricing, reference, and analytics data across algoseek's product catalogue and for maintaining continuous, uninterrupted time series across complex security lifecycle events.

📄️Sec Master#

The U.S. Equities Security Master dataset provides a comprehensive, centralized reference record for all listed and delisted U.S. equity securities from 2007 to the present. It serves as the authoritative foundation for security identification, classification, and lifecycle tracking across the U.S. equities universe. The dataset includes core descriptive attributes such as industry and sector classification, listing status, and security name and ticker history, enabling accurate tracking of securities through name and symbol changes. Each record is organized around algoseek’s Security ID (SecId), a stable internal identifier that remains unchanged across name and ticker updates. In addition, the Security Master provides cross-references to major industry identifiers, including FIGI and ISIN, supporting interoperability with third-party datasets and internal systems. The dataset is delivered as a single consolidated table and is updated daily to reflect new listings, delistings, and reference-data changes. Complementary Lookup Files are available to resolve tickers and other identifiers to SecId.

📄️ASID Lookup#

The U.S. Equities ASID Lookup dataset covers all listed and delisted U.S. equity securities, including common stocks, ETFs, ETNs, ADRs, preferred stocks, warrants, and related instruments, from 2007 to the present. The dataset captures ticker symbols and their effective date ranges, enabling accurate tracking of securities across symbol changes over time. This dataset is designed to support continuous pricing and reference history construction in cases where a security’s internal identifier changes. algoseek assigns each security a SecId, which remains stable across name and ticker changes but may change following certain security restructurings (for example, reclassification events). To preserve continuity across such identifier changes, algoseek introduces a higher-level persistent identifier, ASID (algoseek Security ID). An ASID remains constant for the entire economic life of a security and links together all related SecIds associated with that security over time. The ASID Lookup dataset therefore provides the authoritative mapping needed to chain SecIds and maintain uninterrupted historical time series across complex lifecycle events.

📄️Lookup File#

The U.S. Equities Lookup Files dataset enables users to map a ticker and effective date or a FIGI to the corresponding SecId, supporting accurate identifier normalization across time, then SecId can be further linked to additional identifiers, such as ISIN, via the U.S. Equities Security Master, enabling consistent cross-dataset joins and security-level analysis. The dataset is delivered in two complementary lookup versions: • Ticker-to-SecId lookup, supporting date-aware symbol resolution • FIGI-to-SecId lookup, supporting cross-vendor identifier mapping
